In August 2006, MWR Solicitors launched its Kricket 4 Kenya campaign after we became aware of the appalling conditions suffered in Kenya following its worst ever drought earlier on that year.

Our campaign has generated support from thousands of kind individuals across the world.

Donations including brand new football shirts, old items of clothing, sports equipment, rugby goal posts and even a score board have filled our 100sq ft warehousing unit and we are now have a collection of equipment to make a real difference to underprivileged children of Kenya.

As well as hosting a series of fund raising days, we managed to raise £4,000 at a charity dinner auction in May 2007 which will go towards transporting the kit to Kenya in 2008. The auction received donations from Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC and Amir Kahn.

We had always hoped that Kricket 4 Kenya would be a success but we have been overwhelmed at how generous the public has been in donating to this very worthy cause.

Our campaign has now closed. The next stage is to ensure the donations make it through the various systems and to the people who matter.
