Kricket 4 Kenya is a new charity appeal run by Preston law firm MWR Solicitors for deprived children of Kenya.

We will be collecting unwanted cricket and other sports equipment which will be transported to Kenya in 2008. Initially we set up the campaign to focus on cricket but wanted to give people the option to donate equipment and clothing from any sport.

If you have any unused or unwanted cricket and general sports equipment or clothing, don’t throw them away, give them a new home. We’re after anything sports related.

Cricket bats, Footballs, Football shirts, Trainers, Training kits, Tennis rackets, Balls, anything related to sport!

Kenya is one of the world’s poorest nations and at the start of 2006 it suffered one of its worst droughts. This has threatened the lives of thousands of children across the country and in some of the worst affected areas the rate of malnutrition is double the World Health Organisation’s critical rate.

The Cricket Kenya and Friends of Kenya Cricket are assisting MWR with the campaign.

There is a free drop-off centre at our offices at 6 Cannon Street Preston, where you can sign a guest book which will eventually be passed over with the donation. For directions, visit www.mwrlaw.com.
